Week 2 - Run, Claudia, Run!

When I started to think about the week 2, I immediately thought about the movie Forrest Gump where the main character ran and didn’t stop because he just wanted to. It’s the same as I’m feeling about this week. I want to run! I want to read my class plans and run to change my old objectives style to the ABCD’s ones and make them as clear as limpid water. I want to review the Nicenet discussion on websearching and follow Lila’s suggestion on KidsClick (www.kidsclick.org/ ) and have fun playing one of the several options of on line games for children like Funbrain page (http://www.funbrain.com/funbrain/grammar/index.html.) Or maybe follow Julhas’ suggestion about the Dictionary of Open Access Journals and run to access the pages and discover the magic world of Journals. And what about run to review the vocabulary using Khayrul Islam’s suggestion of Wordcentral page (http://www.wordcentral.com/edu/index.htm ) and find meaning, spelling and the picture of a word?
Yes, I have to run, because after describing all about my students for the Project Task 1, I realized that I need to run faster. I think about those students that get up very early in their further communities to take a one or two hours boat trip and many times they have to take 30 to 40 minutes walking before getting to school and watch one of my classes. And they have to do the same to come back home.  It’s necessary to run because they need more meaningful classes and they need to be listened. And along all this course with Donna and my colleagues’ help, I’m going to run after this solution.

Does somebody want to follow me?
                                                  So, let’s run!!

  1. Dear Claudia,

Excellent reflection! I am really sorry for your students that some of them have to take long boat journey and others have to take a long walk to attend your classes. However, I am sure that your students are lucky to have you as one of their teachers. I am really humble for the fact that you feel for your students this way! Do I want to follow you? I would love to! So don't worry I got your back!

    Good luck!

  2. Thank you for your comment Julhas!
But I think that you'd feel the same about your students if they were in the same situation. Because our role goes further than just education.
So, let me say good bye... it's time to run!!
    All the best,
    Claudia
